Starfish Academy knows that each child learns differently. Children learn through play, they learn by doing, and they learn by experiencing. Our well qualified staff will make your child’s learning experience an enjoyable one. With a little guidance and a lot of teaching, children begin to learn the alphabet; they learn to cut with scissors, and how to write their name.
Here at Starfish Academy we follow our very own literacy based creative curriculum. Each week teachers create lesson plans based around the book of the week. A specific letter, color, number, and shape are selected for the week that coincides with the book. Art projects and other activities that the children will be doing all relate back to the book.
Lesson plans are created and implemented in each of our classrooms with fun activities and projects geared towards your child’s learning. Lesson plans consist of gross motor skills, fine motor skills, science, math, introduction to a foreign language, creative art projects, writing, reading, and so much more! Each class maintains a structured pre school schedule. Daily routines and structured schedules vary for each age group. Starfish Academy’s one and only goal is to provide a fun, loving, learning environment for your child.
